Yup, I knew that!

I've always said David Simon is a genius.

The MacArthur Foundation agrees.

Congratulations David Simon on the well-deserved recognition of your work.

I loved Homicide. I'm way behind on the Wire, but I thought it was even better. Mr. Simon certainly deserves this!

I was pleased to see that my friend type designer Matthew Carter was also recognized.

Great show. I'm reading a self-pubbed book right now that reminds me of The Wire, written by a guy who taught school in North Philadelphia. I love this book so much I posted about it on my blog, which is unusual for me to do, on both counts.

The Wire is easily the most provocative show ever to appear on television. I always felt that the American public couldn't handle how real and thought provoking it was. Congrats!
